A coworker steps onto a flat roof to fix a leak. No guardrail, no harness, a job that takes ten minutes. He has done it a hundred times. The hundred-and-first time, he steps back to look at his work and there is no edge where he expects one. That story ends a different way for the family waiting at home, and it almost always starts with the same words: “it was just a quick job.”
Working at height does not forgive small mistakes. Gravity is patient and it does not get tired. The good news is that falls are among the most preventable serious hazards on any site, and the protections are well understood. This course gives you the awareness to recognize a fall hazard, understand the protections, and speak up before anyone gets hurt.
